In a field stands a massive building, a disruption to the land.  A space filled to the brink with production animals. In it’s shadow lies old tools and machinery, things not to be used nor thrown away. A decaying memory of a different life. But where there is decay the land is the most fertile.

Growing up on an organic goat farm, surrounded by big industrial farms, I noticed the difference in the way of working, and the effect it has on the land. Inspired by my surroundings and how it is effected by climate change and how we use it, I make sculptures often using found objects and natural materials, such as clay and plaster. My work often has a stillness to it, in it lingers a sense of longing and melancholia. Bringing forth a sense of urgency in the decay. Like in my work ´Dried out´ that consist of handmade tiles. The tiles are plaster casts of the ground showing the cracks formed as a result of the drought and heat that now dominate our summers. Like the old tiles on my parents farm that tell stories of the bible, these tiles tell a contemporary story of the land. Hanging on the wall with an old forgotten cabinet reflecting a different time, a different way of life.
