Graduated from BEAR Fine Art, soon to be on view at Museum Arnhem

Graduating and immediately exhibiting at Museum Arnhem? For Yiyang Zhou, Cari Calinici en Alejandro Jiménez, it’s become a reality. On the final day of ArtEZ finals in Arnhem, they were nominated for the very first ArtAwardArnhem. Thanks to this award, their work will soon be on view in the museum.

Afstuderen en direct exposeren in Museum Arnhem? Voor Yiyang Zhou, Cari Calinici en Alejandro Jiménez is het werkelijkheid. Op de slotdag van ArtEZ finals in Arnhem werden zij genomineerd voor de allereerste ArtAwardArnhem. Dankzij deze prijs tonen ze hun werk binnenkort in het museum.

The prize is an initiative by the Association of Friends of Museum Arnhem. It is organised in collaboration with Museum Arnhem and ArtEZ Academy of Art & Design Arnhem. With this annual incentive award, the organisers aim to support emerging artists and offer them visibility in the professional art world.

Exhibition at Museum Arnhem

The three nominees are given a special opportunity. From 11 October to 9 November 2025, their work will be exhibited at Museum Arnhem. The exhibition connects them with art lovers, collectors and professionals.

'Kunstgasten'

On Saturday 31 August, the three nominees will introduce themselves during Kunstgasten at Museum Arnhem. At the end of the programme, the winner of the very first ArtAwardArnhem will be announced. The award includes a €2,500 cash prize to support the artist’s first steps after graduation.

A new tradition

ArtAwardArnhem is a new, annual award for graduates of BEAR Fine Art in Arnhem. Each year, a jury selects three nominees from the graduating class. The award highlights the importance of investing in emerging talent. And marks the beginning of a new tradition.
