What is it like to return to the place where you started as an artist? The project Culture Making & The Hub: Meet Me in the Hallway gives ArtEZ alumni this opportunity. They spend a day working at the academy, right in the hallways of Art & Design Arnhem. Afterwards, they present their work at The Hub in Arnhem.

Students often stay within their own disciplines, but in the art world, building a diverse network is essential. Culture Making encourages collaboration across different fields and generations, fostering new connections and creative exchanges.

A chain of inspiration

During their residency, alumni return to the academy and make use of its facilities, creating a dynamic interaction between past and present students. At the end of the day, they showcase their work at The Hub, where they engage in conversations with students and the next participating alumnus. This creates an ongoing dialogue about art, creativity, and professional development. The Hub also hosts monthly events on key topics for emerging artists, such as networking, sustainability, and establishing a career in the cultural sector.
