ArtEZ launches international master's programme Creative Writing
- Creative Writing
Starting in September 2025, ArtEZ in Arnhem will launch a brand-new two-year international master's programme for writers. This international master's in Creative Writing is a close collaboration between three leading writing schools in Europe: ArtEZ in Arnhem, Escuela de Escritores in Madrid, and Scuola Holden in Turin.

The master curriculum focuses on critical narrative research, on deepening and embedding creative writing skills, knowledge, and techniques in the contemporary professional writing practice, and on innovative connections with the broader European literary field.
The programme is firmly embedded in a strong network of European literary organizations, such as the European Association of Creative Writing Programmes (EACWP) and collaborates with literary translators and mentors from the international platform CELA (Connecting Emerging Literary Artists). The program is hybrid (online and live) and is organized around three annual site-specific residentials.
Registrations will open in December 2024 and admissions will take place in May 2025. We will admit a total of 21 students per year (7 per country). The programme will start in late September 2025.
