Practical matters and regulations
As an international student you need to arrange quite a lot of things for an untroubled stay in Holland. Be prepared.
Visa and permits
To enter the Netherlands and take up temporary residence, you will need to complete the correct immigration formalities.
It is advisable to start your orientation on housing before coming to the Netherlands.
Staying in the Netherlands also means that you have to get good (health) insurance.
Studying with impediment
A study impediment need not be an insurmountable obstacle for studying with us. ArtEZ offers extra support where needed and where possible.
Student ID Card
You can use your Student ID Card outside of ArtEZ as proof that you are a student. You can also use your card for printing and copying.
Lecturers begin every year end of August/Begin September. The first-year student introductions take place prior to this date.
Students’ essential rights and obligations are defined in the ArtEZ Student Charter.
Code of Conduct
The Code sets out standards for Dutch higher education institutions in their dealings with international students.
