Sadie Delintzis

As an interdisciplinary performer, creator, and educator, I move between the fields of theater, dance, and performance art. Everything I create stems from boundless curiosity—about others, about myself, and about everything that moves in the space between. I am a physical and visual artist who places the sensory experience of the body at the heart of my work. I create a space where we can all, for a moment, truly connect with ourselves and with whatever is surging through us. I draw a great deal of energy and inspiration from spontaneous encounters and the remarkable conversations that arise from them. In addition, I enjoy inspiring young people to engage in interdisciplinary forms of creative expression.

What inspires me
The body, time, escapism, desire, all the sensory stimuli that reach us and with which we learn to dance. Human vulnerability.

What is my ambition or vision for the future?
To feel a spark within myself in everything I do. I want to keep creating work that addresses bold societal issues. I want to travel and draw inspiration from the new stories of people I meet along the way. I want Collectief Morii to continue growing!

What will you see during the finals?
As part of my research, I am creating my graduation project on BDSM and kink. Through an installation, a performance, and a post-show discussion, the audience is invited to step into this extraordinary world. The physical and musical performance *Me●AUW* takes center stage here. In this performance, two people from the BDSM community take you on a playful, dynamic journey through their relationship. I am also performing as part of Collectief Morii. In our performance *GIVE ME YOUR SKIN*, we explore the human animalistic survival instinct.

In my research, I am interested in how eroticism and sensuality can merge with performance art. How do you create performances based on these forms and themes in a society that views them as taboo? What does the artistic practice of artists working with these themes look like? How does the audience respond to this?
