This project explores polarisation as a natural phenomenon, compared to the problem of distance that is so palpable in our society. I believe that contradictions are inherent in all living things: light and dark, chaos and order, or life and death. Human polarity is directly connected to the dynamic workings of our universe.
Through an audiovisual experience, a poster series, and research, this story is brought to the forefront. Absolute thought processes are shown literally and metaphorically in contrasting black-and-white images, in which a gradually colourful diversity of nuance and development unfolds. Just as white light contains all the colours of the spectrum, every absolute vision also contains a wealth of perspectives and experiences.
With this work, I hope to offer new insights into the dynamic workings of polarisation as an invitation to look differently at what drives us apart. To also reflect on our overlapping core values.
