Pauline Larosa

I see our art as a way to connect, reflect, and challenge perspectives. I value humility, connections, and collaboration. I like to challenge myself and explore new possibilities and textures, especially through improvisation and creative tasks. I am particularly interested in finding a sense of totality in my movement, and I am often guided toward movement that grows from sensation and exploration.

My ambitions are to keep growing as an artist. To continue being curious and open, to stay out of my comfort zone, and to keep exploring new approaches, perspectives, and movement languages in order to nourish my own.

I find inspiration in many different things. It could be a moment, a person, a talk, a sensation, a walk in nature or by the sea, a memory, a painting, a text, or a music.

During my internship, I danced with Dance Company Osnabrück in Germany. I performed in five different productions and had the chance to experience works by Nanine Linning, Thomas Noone, Johanna Nuutinen, and Alba Castillo. It was a very enriching experience, as each choreographer brought a different approach and movement language. We also had a young choreographer’s evening production, where some dancers from the company choreographed their own pieces. I was part of three of them, created by Luigi Imperato, John O’Gara, and Richard Nagy. This production was special to me, and looking back on this internship year, I feel very grateful for the opportunities I had to grow, learn, and challenge myself, but also for the amazing people I got the chance to meet and share the stage with.
