Paula Warkotsch

I am a crossmedia designer with a background in performing arts, a connection that unfolds naturally in my creative process. 

I combine formal clarity with a theatrical perspective on space, atmosphere,and narrative and explore themes such as history, democracy, spatial perception, and social participation.

I experiment a lot with different handmade techniques, various printing methods, as well as ceramics and wood. My final work is often installationbased or illustrative. For me, illustrations are a tool for making complex subjects visually tangible, using exaggeration, simplification, and humor.
