Myrthe is a passionate artisteducator in dance, characterized by her creativity, thoughtfulness, and empathy. Gaining new insights and deepening her knowledge is what she loves doing most, both in dance and beyond. As a teacher, she enjoys sharing what she knows with others, and development through self-awareness is central to her approach. For her, dance is a connecting medium between inner experience and the outer world around us - the things you learn in dance stay with you everywhere.
During her training, a solid foundation in classical ballet was further expanded into modern, contemporary, and floorwork with acrobatic elements. Additionally, she gladly utilizes her gymnastics background whenever possible, both as a dancer and as a teacher. As a dancer, softness in movement quality is a key element, a nuance to her honest and critical attitude. Continuously investigating and questioning why 'something is the way it is' is a characteristic aspect of Myrthe as an artisteducator.
In her classes, she works on technique, musicality, coordination, and expression, but above all, the personal development of the students takes center stage. She believes it is important that everyone is challenged in their own way and that everyone learns in a safe and enjoyable space. Myrthe focuses on the dancer's potential and believes it is important that technique and dance is accessible to every body. Based on this vision, she encourages her students to look at themselves and others with kind eyes.
