As a performer, I try to learn myself on stage. The stage offers me room to discover pieces of myself I haven’t met yet before. I like to be as surprised as the audience. As an artist, I like speaking through irony to express something important and meaningful to me. I love to paint an image that carries multiple perspectives and emotions. I try not to ever see things black and white and to always leave room for change.
To follow the path I feel belongs to me. To trust in what feels right. I want to keep taking steps, even if they feel small at the time, because an object in motion stays in motion. I hope to be inspired with my surroundings and people and to inspire back.
Limitations. Discomfort. People.
I started my internship at Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern. I always wanted to experience a 10-18 company life for myself and I am so glad I did. It thought me plenty about being a professional, about discipline and about responsibility. It showed me a side of dance that is not so glamorous and that art sometimes also needs to be just a job. I gained great respect for people choosing that life. It made it clear for me I want more than just a job. I met incredible people, beautiful dancers, and even though it was a difficult period, I learned stuff about myself I maybe never would have. I learned that choosing myself will never be a bad choice. From February, I started working as a dance teacher, rehearsal director and a choreographer in a dance studio in Croatia. It was the most fruitful experience I could have hoped for in my internship year. It brought me back to joy for dancing, that spark that was dimmed for a moment came back. I focused on giving and feeding, and in return I received back even more. I received hope and inspiration, and most importantly a reminder that life will surprise you with a path you never planned in the first place, but it is the right one for you.
