One evening, a scream sounds from his children's room, and everything changes. Slowly but surely Dave's life begins to unravel, and he begins to lose his grip on reality...

The Dave Show is a short animation that plays with genre-conventions to surprise the viewer. I'm fascinated by the way they symbolize people's expectations. By subverting these genres and their conventions, or combining them in an unexpected way, the audience is surprised, and it creates a new, hopefully memorable, narrative!

The film plays with the concept of creative freedom in our current cultural climate. With the rise of new technologies and world leaders this freedom seems more and more uncertain, and it's something I think about frequently as a new creator.
