Marloes Hendriks

My name is Marloes Hendriks. I have been teaching since my second year at ArtEZ. Currently, I teach toddler and preschool dance, classical ballet for various ages and levels, and open-level modern dance. I love dancing myself, especially classical ballet; I enjoy contemporary and jazz immensely. My vision as an Artist Educator in Dance is that dance is much more than a physical activity. It is a way to develop self-confidence, expression, and personal growth. A safe and positive learning environment is central to my classes. I believe it is important that everyone feels seen and heard. I am of the opinion that you learn more in an environment where there is room for fun and connection. Additionally, I believe it is important that students are challenged to push their boundaries and dare to try new things. In my role as an Artist Educator, I find it important to stimulate and guide this process.
