In Rewilding Fashion, Malú van der Bijl explores wilderness as a groundwork to develop alternatives to the industrial fashion system. As weeds that grow in between human constructions, wild realities remind us of a world underneath the structures that often seem so settled.

Rewilding then proposes to reconfigure what we consider as order by recognizing that the existing parameters are narrow and exploring other ways of being and methods of worldbuilding. Although this proposal may appear abstract within the realm of fashion, its tangible implementation is exemplified through numerous critical practices that advocate for profound transformation of the fashion system.
