Madelief Hofland

Driven, spontaneous, loyal

Driven, spontaneous, and loyal are three words that describe Madelief as a person. You can recognise her by her red hair, passionate stories, and the fact that she's always on the move. Madelief began the Artisteducator in Dance programme to explore further why she had said, even as a young girl in her friendship diaries, that she wanted to be a dance teacher.

She has discovered her curiosity stems from the fact that she sees dance as a way to discover herself and let others discover themselves as well as the world. It is a way to connect, challenge people, and fully immerse herself in the moment.

This year, Madelief focused on secondary school. She has been doing a student internship at Vathorst College. Madelief is empathetic, honest, and not easily discouraged as a dance teacher. She acts intuitively and with interest, and is not afraid to ask a lot of her students.

Madelief is very much looking forward to exploring the professional world after her programme - one where dance, education and the development of others take centre stage.
