Lloyd Linde
As a child, Lloyd Linde could entertain himself for hours drawing, fantasising, and daydreaming about medieval castles and knights. Adventure played a major role in this. Hikes along mountains and across vast grasslands transformed into expeditions full of imagination and wonder. This fascination with nature and the unknown is a common thread throughout his graduation project, titled CYCLUM.
Driven by his passion for abstract forms, nature, and graphic novels, Lloyd developed a science fiction story that unfolds in a visual book. In this story, an astronaut is stranded on a mysterious, beautiful, yet treacherous planet. He becomes astonished and overwhelmed by the workings of this world, while danger lurks.
Lloyd's visual language is characterised by flowing lines, organic forms, and an air of mystery. With CYCLUM, he explores themes such as time, symbiosis, the sublime, and the insignificance of humanity versus the grandeur of life. Join the astronaut on a journey through an unknown world, where admiration and menace combine to tell a story.
