My name is Kiki Loonstra. I am a 25-year-old actor and a graduate of the ArtEZ School of Acting in Arnhem. My work is characterised by sensitivity, physicality, playfulness, and a strong musical instinct.

This past year, I made my debut as both a theatre maker and actor with Buzz Off, a performance I created together with theatre maker and mime performer Charlotte Vlugt. I have a deep interest in philosophical, layered, and magical realist theatre, particularly for young audiences. Buzz Off, a family performance for ages 6 and up, reflects these interests.

Alongside my artistic practice, I have conducted both theoretical and practical research into the concept of play: how we learn through play, what play is, what it can offer us, and what it reveals about the spirit of our time.

As an actor, co-creator, and educator, I enjoy exploring complex emotions through humour and melancholy. I am not afraid of bold, expressive performance and place great value on honesty and transparency. I am also a musician and an eager learner, always looking for new ways to grow and develop my practice.

Next season, I will appear in Dolly Dots – The Musical, where I will play the role of Dolly Dot Anita Heilker.
