"Three generations: my father, myself and my son. What unfolds within this is, for me, not a straight line, but a tension between inheritance and difference, between what is passed on and what fades with time.

For me, play is central: free, light and unburdened. Set against this is my own experience, in which I see myself as increasingly akin to the generation above me. In that realisation, family becomes not only a source of recognition, but also of confrontation. I stand between two generations: looking at what remains open, and at the same time at what is already becoming visible in my own body.

With this installation, I explore that tension and make it tangible as a layered image in which past, present and future touch without coinciding. For me, ‘What remains’ is about family resemblance, heredity, but also about the fragility of childlike freedom. About what continues, what changes and what slowly disappears."
