Finals Music in Education Enschede

Music • Music in Education - Bachelor - Enschede • 2026

At Music Teacher Enschede, both teaching and artistic practice are at the heart of the programme.

This is reflected in two key elements of the Finals:

  • A research project and graduation work that contributes to today's music and music education landscape;
  • The development, organisation and production of the annual Music Production by fourth-year Music Teacher students in Enschede. Every Music Teacher student takes part, and the performances attract an audience of at least 2,500 visitors.

Across both Finals, students demonstrate how they have grown into musicians and educators who use music as a powerful tool for connection, creativity, personal development and community.

The annual Music Production is led by fourth-year students and created together with students from years one, two and three. From the initial concept to the final applause, students take responsibility for every aspect of the production. They write, organise, produce, manage the budget, promote the show and ultimately bring it to life on stage.

The result? A multidisciplinary music theatre production that was a great success and welcomed audiences from many schools.

For Sven van Nugteren, this project also served as his graduation assignment. As the overall project leader, he guided the entire production process and gained valuable experience leading a large-scale artistic production.
