In my final exam, I decided to engage with K-POP and the culture surrounding it. As a K-POP fan, I used my research to reflect on what hides between the carefully built image of the industry. Although the story takes place within K-POP culture, to me these themes are also about wider systems surrounding fame, online culture, and external expectations.

My view on this world I love has changed through my research; I've become more aware and critical, but simultaneously it still plays a large role in my life.

In my time at ArtEZ I usually made lighthearted and funny stories. With this story I went in a different, and new to me, direction. I got to know a new side of myself as a creator.

I hope that the end result not only reflects my experiences, but also my appreciation for K-POP culture, and that it's read with attention and enjoyment.
