“Met een ei zitten unfolds through an installation in which an egg twitches, wobbles, dances, and resists stillness. Inspired by early 19th-century stage magic, the work approaches wonder as a condition produced through hesitation. Small movements, concealed mechanisms, and delayed actions destabilise the space between what is animate and inanimate. The egg functions simultaneously as a prop, a body, and a cosmos. Within the work, it becomes both performer and container. Rather than offering fixed readings, the installations create situations in which attention itself becomes malleable.”
