My relationship with the earth and my body has been central in my life. I feel like I am here to strengthen that relationship and learn how we can live in a mutual collaboration with the planet that gives us life. In my work I intuitively and emotionally research this calling and connection, within myself as well as within nature. In my time at the academy I've been able to experiment within the mediums of animation and sequential storytelling, resulting in my graduationfilm Amort.

A month in Spain with my good friend and creative partner, Luca Holthuis, created a capsule of depth, experiment, and transformation, where the story I wanted to tell took its own form. A story about letting go, giving back, being absorbed and being reborn.

Amort is an experimental film where human and nature meets in a dance of stop-motion animation, pixilation and film. Unique images and music create a story of a woman's rebirth in her process of returning to the earth and to life.
