“Zimbabwe is a country of extraordinary mineral and spiritual richness, yet so much of that wealth was extracted during colonial rule. This project grows from my personal response to that history and the responsibility I feel in relation to it. Through conversations with Zimbabwean artists, I gather reflections on the land’s spiritual, geological, and ancestral significance, translating these perspectives into ceramic sculptures. Together, these works form a fictional geography; an imagined Zimbabwe where minerals, memory, and spiritual power are symbolically returned to the earth.”
