Bodien explores what makes a place feel like home
For BEAR Fine Art graduate Bodien Britschgi from ArtEZ Academy of Art & Design Arnhem, home, nostalgia and longing form the starting point of the graduation project.
Through drawing, sculpture and installation, she magnifies everyday moments that often go unnoticed. Her work moves between lightness and heaviness, playfulness and discomfort, inviting viewers to reflect on the memories and relationships that shape our sense of home.
During ArtEZ finals, student reporter Layla Souza Silva visited Bodien to learn more about her graduation project, her exploration of the idea of home, and the role memories play in her work.
