On Monday night 25 September 2017, the designer duo Schepers Bosman, made up of Sanne Schepers (28) and Anne Bosman (29), won the international Mercedes-Benz Les Etoiles Design Competition. They completed our Bachelor's programme in Fashion Design in 2011, graduating with distinction. The award was presented by an international jury that included fashion designers Alexis Mabille and Dita von Teese. The winning design is recognised with a cash prize of 20,000 euros and support from Mercedes-Benz.

Inspiration
Schepers Bosman's silhouette is inspired by female vintage racing overalls in classic Mercedes-Benz adverts. Inspired by the Futurist artist Balla, Schepers Bosman developed their own graphic patchwork to create an abstract translation of speed and movement. In terms of material, colour and finishings, the designer duo took their lead from the interiors of Mercedes-Benz cars: soft leather, hand-stitched seams and padding. The goal: 'creating a unique modern image, without losing the car make's classic craftsmanship.'

Paris Fashion Week Spring Summer 2018
On Saturday 30 September, Schepers Bosman will present their latest women's collection capsule in Paris. Images of the capsule will premier on their social media channels.

Les Etoiles 2017
"There has always been a link between the car industry and the world of fashion, so it's a logical step for Mercedes-Benz to support young designers", says Beatrice Tanguy, initiator of the competition and director at Mercedes-Benz France. The competition, born in 2016, involves designers from all over the world submitting their personal portfolio and a prescribed design assignment, with this year's theme being sports.

The completed designs of the nine finalists will be presented to the world during the Spring/Summer 2018 edition of the Paris Fashion Week. This year's jury, headed by Alexis Mabille, fashion designer and creative director at Mercedes-Benz Les Etoiles, consists of: Dita von Teese, Camille Seydoux, Ludivine Sagnier, Marie-Agnès Gillot and Béatrice Tanguy. They chose Schepers Bosman as the winners of the 2017 edition.
