What you will learn during the Preparatory Music Programme
In one year, you will discover whether studying at the conservatoire is right for you. You will develop your musical skills and receive guidance and information to support your further musical growth. You take lessons in music theory and practical lessons on your instrument or in voice at Kaliber Kunstenschool in Enschede.
Kaliber is housed in the same building as the ArtEZ Conservatorium. You can also take lessons with conservatoire teachers and share practice rooms with Bachelor’s students, so you really get a feel for the conservatoire atmosphere. You will also take part in the Explore the Field days at the ArtEZ Conservatorium in Enschede. During these days, you make music together with students from all the preparatory programmes.

You follow the preparatory programme for the Pop Academy via Kaliber Kunstenschool. The curriculum is tailored to you. It is therefore different for each student, depending on your level when you start. As a result, the costs also vary per student.
Admission consists of an intake interview. If you have a referral letter from ArtEZ Conservatorium (for example after the admission procedure for a Bachelor’s), you will be admitted automatically.

You follow the preparatory programme for MediaMusic via Kaliber Kunstenschool. The curriculum is tailored to you. It is therefore different for each student, depending on your level when you start. As a result, the costs also vary per student.

Explore the Field Days
Each year, ArtEZ Conservatorium in Enschede organises two Explore the Field days (on Saturdays). These days are for all preparatory students and are filled with workshops, masterclasses and group assignments.
