If you are a creative soul and considering a future as an art teacher, or are unsure whether or not an arts education is right for you, the preparatory programme in Fine Art and Design in Education (DBKV) is for you. During the programme, you will discover whether the full-time, part-time or tailor-made DBKV course is right for you.
You will get to know the atmosphere at the academy, learn what it is like to work together on visual arts projects and discover whether the profession of art teacher suits you. Everyone is welcome, regardless of age or background. You do not need to apply for admission.
The Fine Art and Design in Education preparatory programme is ideal for:
You will be taught by lecturers from the Fine Art and Design in Education bachelor's programme and will work in the same atmosphere as you would as an academy bachelor student. That way, you will already know what to expect during the bachelor's programme.
In addition to assignments, you will work on an individual research project. You will learn to deepen your ideas and connect them to theory and educational methods.
Whether you are a sixth-form student or have been working for years, everyone is welcome. In the preparatory course, you learn from and alongside each other.
After eight Saturdays, you will have learned and created a great deal. You will not be automatically admitted to the Visual Arts and Design Teacher Training programme. Would you like to continue at ArtEZ? Then you will need to apply for admission. The Preparatory Course will help you to be well prepared for that process. Or, conversely, to choose with greater certainty a different route that suits you better.
