For admission, we ask that you submit a motivation letter and a short video (approximately 5 minutes) in which you demonstrate your musical skills: your main instrument, a harmony instrument (piano or guitar) and singing with your own accompaniment.
The admissions process consists of two steps: a motivational interview and, if necessary, a musical audition.
After you apply, you will be invited for a personal interview lasting approximately 30 minutes. We will tell you more about the programme and consider your background, experience and motivation. You will discuss your motivation letter in more detail and tell us about your goals and why you want to study music therapy. This is also an opportunity for you to ask us questions and find out whether this programme is truly right for you.
In addition to the interview, we will ask you to give a musical audition, depending on your previous education. This is to show that you have a sufficient musical foundation to grow from as a music therapist. The audition lasts about half an hour and consists of singing and piano, sometimes with specific repertoire assignments.
If you already have a bachelor's degree in music and have completed at least four semesters of singing and piano studies at the conservatory level, you may be eligible for an exemption from the audition.
After your interview and audition, you will receive feedback from the exam committee. The official results from the examination board will be sent to you within three weeks.
