Music Theatre Preparatory programme - Preparatory programme - Arnhem

Presentation portfolio

For your audition, you’ll need to prepare a digital presentation portfolio, which you need to send by email to ArtEZ (you’ll receive the email address once you have registered for the programme). The portfolio consists of five parts:

  • A cover page with your name and a photo of yourself.
  • A short motivation: what do you expect from the programme?
  • A curriculum vitae, giving an overview of your previous education and your experience so far in the field of music theatre.
  • A short reflection on three performances from the Music Theatre canon (see below), explaining why these three in particular speak to you most.

Sheet music for the two pieces you’re bringing to the first audition round (this also applies to your own compositions), including the name of the composer and lyricist. By ‘sheet music’ we mean: fully written-out vocal lines with piano accompaniment, or a lead sheet or chord chart with lyrics. Please ensure that all sheet music is in the key that works best (for you).

Important: your presentation portfolio must include all five parts. If your portfolio doesn’t meet the requirements, is incomplete, or is submitted late, the audition committee reserves the right not to invite you to audition.
