Interior Architecture - Pre-master - Zwolle

What you'll learn

During the preparatory programme, you will delve into the central theme of the Interior Architecture master’s programme: the constantly changing relationship between bodies and space. You will learn how to use spatial research as a starting point for design and how to visualise and substantively underpin your ideas.

You will work individually and in groups on research through creating, experiments, sketches and reflections, under the guidance of lecturers and guest lecturers. During the afternoon sessions, you will work with master’s students. The language of instruction of the pre-master’s programme is English.

After the Interior Architecture pre-master’s programme

After twelve weeks you will have worked intensively on your exploratory design approach. You will have developed new perspectives, experimented with spatial translations and research, and reflected on your own working methods.

If you want to continue with the Interior Architecture (Corpo-real) master’s programme, you must complete an admission process. This preparatory programme will equip you well for this in terms of content and practice. The programme offers valuable in-depth knowledge, even if you are already working in the field. In many cases, the programme can count as training hours for professionals (approximately 110 hours in total).

By the end of the programme:

  • you will have built up a portfolio of research-driven design work;
  • you will be able to prepare convincingly for an admission interview for the Corpo-real master’s programme;
  • you will have learnt new methods and insights to use in your own professional practice.
