To enable you to pursue regular education and professional dance training at the same time, ArtEZ in Arnhem collaborates with the Beekdal Lyceum. Together, we ensure that you not only develop your dance talent, but also obtain your HAVO or VWO diploma. You will follow a timetable that combines regular secondary education with dance training. This allows you to combine school and preparatory training without becoming overburdened.
The dance classes take place in the two dance studios at the school. ArtEZ has an in-house theatre for performances. Performances are also staged in large theatres in Arnhem, such as ArtEZ and the Stadstheater.
After completing the Dance preparatory programme, you will be qualified to move on to a dance programme in higher education, such as the ArtEZ Dance Artist or Dance Artist Educator bachelor's programmes.
Please note: participation in this preparatory programme does not automatically guarantee you admission to an ArtEZ bachelor's programme. You will still need to apply for admission to whichever programme you choose. However, this preparatory programme will give you an excellent foundation and prepare you as well as possible for the admissions process!
The participation fee for the Orientation class in Dance is € 500,-.
The participation fee for the Dance preparatory programme is € 1.500,-.
You also have the option to pay the fee in ten instalments. You should also budget about € 250,- for appropriate clothing and gear.
For parents/guardians who are unable to cover the training costs, a supplement is available. Please contact the Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur and the relevant secondary school offering the Preparatory Dance Programme for the conditions.
