About the Artisteducator in Dance Audition Workshop
In the Audition workshop, teachers will coach you, and you will give and receive feedback from other participants on how you can further develop yourself in several arenas of the dance world.
The intensive Audition Workshop prepares you over five Saturdays for admission to the Artisteducator in Dans programme. You will become familiar with the way of working within the programme and discover how you can further develop your own practice.
- Explore different dance and movement practices (Contemporary Acrobatics, Countertechnique, Physical Dynamics, Jazz, Classical Dance, etc.)
- Improvise, create and explore through movement
- Develop your own solo
- Discover what motivates you in dance and education
- Prepare for the audition for Artisteducator in Dans
Previous dance experience is not required. We are not looking for perfection or a particular level of technical ability. We are curious about your potential.
During the Audition Workshop, you will learn to collaborate, share ideas, give and receive feedback, and reflect on your own development. You will be challenged to explore, experiment and discover new possibilities.
You will work with different teachers and students from the programme. You will take dance and movement classes and participate in Learning Labs and Makerslabs, working with improvisation, composition and research. This will give you an insight into the programme as well as into your own possibilities within Artisteducator in Dans.
Personal coaching
In the Audition Workshop, you will receive personal coaching so that you can develop in various dance situations. You will be challenged to collaborate and be entrepreneurial within assignments and to articulate your dance ambitions with the other participants. Your artistry will be harnessed when you create a solo. Here, too, you will receive personal guidance. The training is intensive, and you will also have to prepare assignments at home.
After completing the Audition Workshop, you will have a better understanding of your own abilities and the opportunities that the Artisteducator in Dance programme has to offer.
