In the Audition workshop, teachers will coach you, and you will give and receive feedback from other participants on how you can further develop yourself in several arenas of the dance world.
The intensive Audition Workshop prepares you well for admission to the Artisteducator in Dance programme over the course of five Saturdays. The working method during the preliminary phase is similar to that of the audition.
The programme is based on the bachelor's curriculum for the Artisteducator in Dance, with the four professional roles of the dance teacher (dancer, choreographer, entrepreneur and teacher) as its starting point. The dance components covered are:
You will receive dance technique lessons to develop as a dancer, such as hip hop, classical, modern/contemporary, jazz and/or physical dynamics. In addition, you will take creative dance courses such as composition and improvisation to enhance your choreographic skills. You will also receive practical audition tips.
In the Audition Workshop, you will receive personal coaching so that you can develop in various dance situations. You will be challenged to collaborate and be entrepreneurial within assignments and to articulate your dance ambitions with the other participants. Your artistry will be harnessed when you create a solo. Here, too, you will receive personal guidance. The training is intensive, and you will also have to prepare assignments at home.
After completing the Audition Workshop, you will have a better understanding of your own abilities and the opportunities that the Artisteducator in Dance programme has to offer.
