The Starters Programme is taught by Jessica de Jaeger. She coaches cultural entrepreneurs on an artistic, business and/or personal level and teaches entrepreneurship (from idea to product). Liesbeth Doornbosch coordinates the Starters Programme.
We will start the workshop in the morning by focusing on the value proposition of your product, company or service. Together with other participants, we will explore what makes you unique and valuable to customers. Using various theories and short interviews with each other, we will discover what drives and motivates you and what makes you unique.
In the afternoon, we will get to work with the Business Model Canvas. This model is a way of breaking down your business into nine building blocks. You will look at the strengths and weaknesses, but also at the products and services you offer and the wishes of your customers. The value proposition we worked on in the morning is the basis of your business and also the core of this model. The model gives you insight into what is involved in performing your profession and what choices you can make to further professionalise yourself.
On the second day, we zoom in on customer validation: who is your customer, why would someone want to buy from you, and what are their needs and intentions? It is very important to know who your customers are and whether they are a good fit for your product and work.
On the third and final day, we will focus on your financial insight. This means practising drawing up a product or project budget and an annual budget. You will look at your costs and investments on the one hand and your revenues and profits on the other. You will also learn which costs you can include in different budgets and what different financing options are available. In this workshop, we will give you clear examples and also use examples from the group.
