Performance Practices - Master - Arnhem

Admissions procedure

After you have submitted your application through Studielink, we will contact you and ask you to provide the following documents: 


Motivation letter 

  • Why do you want to refine your practice?
  • Why choose this master’s programme, and how do you relate to the concept of the explicit body in performance?
  • What is your ability to work and conduct research independently? 
     

Please note: do not use AI to write this letter — doing so will result in rejection. 
 

CV  

  • including education and professional experience; 
     

Portfolio 

  • links to videos, photos, blogs/website (min. 1, max. 6 links). 
     

BA degree and transcript of grades 

  • English, Dutch, or German (otherwise with a certified translation).
  • Not yet graduated? Include a statement from your institution along with your current grades.
  • Copy of passport or EU ID — must be valid. 
     

Proof of English language proficiency 

  • No later than 1 June (non-EU/EEA) or 1 July (others).
  • May be submitted after the audition. 
     

 

Selection & Home Assignment

Your application will be assessed based on your practice, motivation, experience, and suitability. 


If selected, you will receive a home assignment: 

  • create a video presentation of your research proposal;
  • submit within one week. 
     

If your video is approved, you will be invited to a two-day live audition in Arnhem. 
This is followed by an individual online interview about your work and your place within the programme. 
 

Result: 

  • Admitted
  • Conditionally admitted (e.g. pending BA completion or language certificate)
  • On the waiting list
  • Rejected 
     

The admissions committee reserves the right to discontinue the procedure at any time if necessary.
