The Master of Music Therapy at ArtEZ is part of an established and unique community. You will take part in practice-based project weeks and activities with fellow students from a wide range of artistic and cultural backgrounds: students from other master’s programmes at the ArtEZ Academy of Music in Enschede. The diversity of partners and the many opportunities for collaboration create a dynamic and multifaceted environment, making the school an ideal place to grow as a professional.
As an international Master’s programme, we welcome students from all cultural and religious backgrounds. Ethics and respect for diversity are central to our vision. Our programme is rooted in shared and individual authorship, aimed at innovating, developing and shaping the impact of music therapy on individuals and on society, helping to build more resilient and just communities across the world.
The Master prepares you well for collaboration with other professionals in your field: clients and therapists, educators, researchers, musicians, other artists and healthcare practitioners. Together, we reflect on different cultural perspectives and beliefs in order to broaden your view of the role of music and care in people’s lives, and to heighten your awareness of your own intrinsic values and frame of reference, as well as those of others.
Music therapists are advocates for creating a better world through their passion for music, humanity and science.
