Instructions for submitting your files

Video and audio

  • Upload your material to YouTube, Vimeo, SoundCloud or another platform of your choice, and paste the links into the answer fields on the form.
  • For privacy reasons, you can set your video to ‘unlisted’, so that only people with the link can view it. Make sure the link is not set to ‘private’.
  • If you share your files via Dropbox or Google Drive, ensure the link gives direct access to the file – no additional permission requests should be required.

Scores

Upload your scores directly in the application form. Accepted file formats are Finale, Sibelius or PDF. Handwritten scores are also accepted.

Test your links and files

If your links or files cannot be opened, your application form will be rejected and you will need to resubmit it.

Pre-selection

If your application form meets the requirements, it will be reviewed by experts in your field within the programme. They will assess your pre-selection material and decide whether to invite you for an audition. If the outcome is positive, you will proceed to the practical audition. You will receive the result of the pre-selection no later than two weeks after the application deadline.

Practical audition

If you pass the pre-selection, you will receive an invitation for your audition no later than two weeks in advance. Depending on where you live, the audition will take place either on location or online.

The practical audition lasts a total of 45 minutes. You will present yourself through your admission programme. At the end, you will have an interview with the members of the admissions committee. Your application form serves as the basis for this conversation. You will discuss your motivation, your introduction video and other information from your application form. Read below to find out what we focus on during the audition.

Assessment of your audition, motivation and learning goals

How we assess you depends on what you indicated in your application. If your motivation focuses mainly on your artistic or technical development, the assessment will reflect that. We will look at your skills within your main subject and the progress you could make in this area.

Because this is a maker’s programme, we expect you to present self-created work (such as compositions, theatre pieces, songs, etc.). If you want to specialise in a particular style, make sure you include that style in your audition. If you wish to develop across different styles, show that you can master several.

After your audition, you will receive a notification of your admission result within two weeks.
