iMAE emphasises ‘working with’ – whether with your own community or diverse groups and individuals in Site-Specific Colleges (SSCs). You will learn to work professionally and proactively with anyone who needs your expertise, in both the public and private sectors. Collaborators include artists, teachers, students and NGOs. Graduates have become part of an international movement that redefines art education to meet contemporary societal challenges.
According to the 2024 independent Keuzegids Masters, iMAE scores above average for both ‘atmosphere’ and ‘career preparation.’
We offer a safe yet challenging learning community and connect it to networks that share the programme’s core values, in the Netherlands and abroad. Together, we build artistic projects that matter – urgent, aesthetically strong, and politically challenging.
Co-creating a new generation of artists who develop skills, capacities and knowledge to enable sustainable social change – that is iMAE.
