Interior Architecture - Master- Zwolle

Projects

Research as a design approach

At Corpo-real, research and design go hand in hand. The master’s programme sees research as a fundamental part of the design profession. You will approach the relationship between bodies and space from an autonomous and speculative perspective, with space for doubt, imagination and embodied experience. Research at Corpo-real is not only theoretical; it is also material, sensory and spatial.

Critical and speculative design

You will learn how to use research to formulate questions that challenge and renew design practice. You will work with a wide range of sources and methods, from interviews and literature to material experiments and interactive work. You will translate your insights into spatial proposals, installations, performances or written reflections that address urgent social issues.

Case study, a shared research project

The case study is a collective, ongoing research project in which students jointly explore themes such as power, space and bodies. Each cohort builds on the findings of the previous one, creating a layered and continuous research line.

Theory labs, creative weeks and presentations

You will also take part in theory labs, intensive workshops and short-term projects where you will experiment with light, sound, video, text or large spatial models. Many projects are created in response to current developments or connect to your personal interests. Interim results and final projects are regularly presented to a wider audience through exhibitions, performances or online publications.
