Illustration Based Narrative - Master - Zwolle

Check the admission requirements

If you want to apply for the master’s programme in Illustration Based Narrative, you will first need to complete the admission process.

Want to start this programme? First, apply for admission. The process is as follows:

Application → Admission → Positive decision → Enrolment → Programme start

At the enrolment stage, you must meet all admission requirements:

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a field related to illustration — for example, in Illustration, Animation, Comic Design or other research-oriented disciplines such as Journalism or Visual Anthropology.
Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in another field are also welcome to apply; in that case, the admissions committee will determine the relevance of your previous studies and professional experience.
  • You meet the language requirement: you must be able to understand, speak, read and write English well enough to follow the programme.
You meet this requirement if you hold a valid English language certificate.
There are also other ways to demonstrate your language proficiency — for instance, if you completed a previous English-taught programme, or if you passed English as an exam subject as part of your Dutch havo or vwo diploma.
Read more here about how you can meet the language requirement.
  • You received a positive result on your entrance examination (you have been admitted).

If you have an international educational qualification or are unsure whether you meet the requirements, please contact the Student Affairs Office.
