Check the admission requirements

There are no fixed application deadlines for this programme. Admission interviews take place by appointment. The earlier you apply, the sooner you will be invited for an interview. If you require a residence permit, the final submission date is 31 May.

If you would like to take this programme, you must first apply for admission. The process is as follows:

Application → Admission → Positive result → Enrolment → Programme start

For enrolment, you must meet all admission requirements:

• You have either a higher professional (hbo) bachelor’s degree in arts education (teacher of visual arts and design, theatre, dance, music or a comparable programme), or a related degree at hbo or university level.
• You meet the language requirement: you must understand, speak, read and write Dutch at B2 level. If you hold a diploma from a Dutch-language secondary school and Dutch is your native language, you automatically meet this requirement.
• You have received a positive result in your entrance examination (you have been admitted).

Want a teaching qualification and a master's degree?

If you already have a bachelor's degree from an arts programme and would like to combine your teaching qualification with a master's in Education in Arts, the Education in Arts bachelor-master accelerated combination route could be for you. In this double degree programme, you will gain two qualifications in three years. You will develop into a socially engaged researcher and be qualified to teach art in secondary education and intermediate vocational education.
