This accelerated combined route includes a curriculum that prepares you for teaching through courses such as didactics and practical teaching placements. You will also explore art theory in greater depth and gain extensive experience with arts-based research. You will learn to reflect deeply and to ask thoughtful questions – including of yourself. You will research social themes and learn to balance engagement with critical distance, vision with reflection, and the desire to understand with the courage to leave things open.
The programme provides a broad, in-depth foundation, with increasing space to shape your own learning path within the subjects. You will study alongside students of different ages and backgrounds, all of whom have completed a previous arts or design degree. This diversity of experience, education and artistic practice adds an extra layer to your learning experience.
This accelerated route was exactly what I was looking for. It’s the perfect way to connect the artist in me with the teaching profession. I’m looking for greater depth and want to discover what I really want to convey in my photography lessons.
