What you'll learn

NICU Training Tier 2 builds on the basics and introduces current research and best practices for regulating the often traumatic and chaotic NICU environment. The focus is on interventions for premature babies and their parents/caregivers (including during pregnancy). Participants develop skills to apply music therapy to babies, parents and the care environment. The training concludes with a knowledge test to evaluate the competencies acquired.

After completing Tier 1 and Tier 2, Tier 3 follows: a clinical internship under the supervision of a fully trained NICU music therapist. For more information about Tier 3, please contact Artur Jaschke: a.jaschke@artez.nl.

All participants receive a certificate. Registration with the Register Vaktherapie (Professional Therapy Register) is required. Please note: completion of the RBL MT NICU training (T1 and T2) does not authorise you to work outside the scope of your own professional registration and qualifications.
