Starters' Programme

What you'll learn

Are you developing your own professional practice and ready to take the next step? Then the free Starters Programme is for you.

Especially for fourth-year students and alumni of ArtEZ, we offer an intensive and free three-day programme focused on developing your professional practice. You will explore new opportunities, refine your positioning, and learn how to present your work more effectively and visibly within a changing professional landscape.

Places are limited, and participation is selective.

Selection
This edition of the Starters Programme specifically focuses on current developments within the creative sector, such as sustainability, circularity, and digitalisation. If your professional practice engages with one of these themes, you may be eligible to participate in the programme*.

Personal Guidance
Together with a group of artists from various disciplines, you will work on your own business concept during a series of workshops. How do you connect your work with your audience, and how can you turn it into a sustainable and successful enterprise? We will help you discover the entrepreneurial approach that suits you best and identify where to focus your efforts.

In addition, you will explore your role as an artist within the cultural field. Personal guidance is at the heart of the programme, allowing each participant to work from their own business concept and ambitions. The programme consists of four interconnected components that reinforce one another, with your input as a participant—along with inspiring examples from others—forming the foundation of the learning experience.
