Why Tailor Made Music in Education Enschede?

Do you want to become a music teacher and do you already hold a bachelor’s degree in music or in education? Then you can follow a shortened route to qualify as a Music Teacher with a first-level teaching qualification.

Please note: From the 2025–2026 academic year onwards, no new students will be admitted. The programme will still be offered at the ArtEZ Academy of Music in Zwolle.

Flexible study with future-proof prospects

We offer this programme in a hybrid format, with both online and on-campus teaching. Classes take place on Mondays. We expect you to be physically present at the location in Enschede at least once every four weeks. On the remaining teaching days, you can also join the classes online.

Depending on your previous education, you can obtain your first-level teaching qualification through a shortened track. This qualification also covers Cultural and Artistic Education (CKV) and General Arts.

As a lateral entrant in music education, there are several government funding options available for your studies. As a music teacher you are broadly employable. All graduates from this programme find a permanent position within one year.
