During Improvisation Week, you will collaborate with students from other programmes to create improvisations – both musical and interdisciplinary. You will take part in workshops led by renowned guest lecturers from the Netherlands and abroad, who will encourage you to push your creativity to new heights.
Each year, during Music Therapy Project Week, you will work together with fellow students, master’s students and alumni on current themes and real-life challenges from the field of music therapy.
During Location Project Week, the entire conservatory comes together for a series of workshops and masterclasses. You will collaborate intensively with students from other music programmes – a great opportunity to broaden your horizons, build your network and experience the full ArtEZ community.
Through the Music Therapy Practice Office, you will receive real-world assignments directly from the professional field. These may include organising a concert or performance, or developing new ways to apply music technology in therapeutic practice.
Musicians face both physical and mental challenges. That’s why ArtEZ places great emphasis on healthy music-making, especially during dedicated project days and weeks. You will take part in classes on healthy voice use and learn how to recognise and prevent work-related strain or injury, helping you stay healthy as a musician and therapist.
