Internships

During a number of internships throughout the programme, you will learn how to work with various groups in practice, both in schools and in other settings. To prepare for your internships, you will learn how to take the lead in front of a group and guide group activities. You will also learn what methods to use while teaching. 

• In your first year, you will do internships in the middle grades of primary education and the lower years of secondary education.
• In your second year, you will explore practical education and learn to work with students who have specific educational needs.
• During your third-year internship, you will gain practical experience in both the lower and upper years of secondary education and work on a community-based project.
• During your graduation internship in your fourth year, you will specialise in a direction of your choice. This internship may also take place abroad. 
   

Internship network

We have an extensive internship network across the primary, secondary, vocational and special education sectors. We also have contacts with various music schools, amateur choirs and amateur orchestras. This wide network will make it easy for you to find a placement that suits your needs. Some examples of our partners are Kunsteducatie Nederland, De Stadkamer and music venue Poppodium Hedon in Zwolle.
