Music in Education - Bachelor - Enschede

What you'll learn

As a Music in Education student, you will learn how to share your love of music with others. You will teach in an enthusiastic and innovative way and create contemporary music education for children, young people and adults, helping them to develop and express their musical identity.

You will gain extensive practical experience and build a strong foundation in the field. Later, you will specialise in the professional area that suits you best. Innovation plays a major role: you will use technology to make music and develop apps and software, often commissioned by external partners. In collaboration with the Music Therapy programme, you can also train to become a remedial music teacher.

You will learn to teach CKV (Culture, Art, and Creative Arts) as a school subject and artistic classes in an inspiring way, using existing methods and practical projects. These could include a historical-musical walk through a city or a collaboration with an orchestra or a particular target group. This is how you will discover what kind of teacher you want to be.
