After completing the programme, you will receive the Bachelor of Music in Education diploma and be entitled to use the official title Bachelor of Music in Education (BEd). This programme is listed in the RIO (Register of Institutions and Programmes) under code 39112.
With the Music in Education programme in Enschede, you will become a versatile, entrepreneurial and innovative teacher. You will develop a clear vision of music education and how to deliver it in an inspiring way. You will also become an expert in artistic group work. Your diploma will give you a first-degree teaching qualification in music, CKV and general art. This will allow you to work in all levels of education, but also in other areas.
The professional field for music teachers is broad. Many graduates work as teachers. Some have advanced to become team leaders or deputy heads. Others work as composers, conductors or for music schools. You can also work for the education department of an orchestra, ensemble or opera company or as a method writer. Or why not launch your own initiative? Almost all our graduates find a suitable position in the field within a few months.
Would you like to explore your field in more depth or specialise? You could continue with a master’s programme in the Netherlands or abroad. At ArtEZ, you can, for example, complete a master’s degree in Education in Arts or our International Master Artist Educator programme.
