Jazz & Pop in Zwolle is a broad-ranging bachelor’s programme in music. You will be introduced to several different styles and have plenty of options to choose from, which will help you evolve into a flexible, versatile musician.
Mastering your craft is at the heart of the Jazz & Pop programme. In your private lessons, you will gain full technical and musical command of your instrument. At the same time, you will be exploring the full breadth of music and constantly expanding your knowledge and skills, for instance, through collaborations with the Music in Education and Classical Music programmes.
As a Jazz & Pop student, you become part of an entrepreneurial community with an eye for societal relevance. This is a network you can build on for life, with countless opportunities throughout the region.
You will learn how to tell your story through music and explore how that story can best reach your audience through performing regularly for diverse audiences. You will also work together on several projects designed to bring different artistic disciplines together. Along the way, you will organically find out where your interests lie, at which point you can start to specialise. With an exceptionally large number of elective courses, you can choose your own unique learning pathway, supported by a study coach who guides you throughout the programme.
