Interior Architecture - Bachelor - Zwolle

Upload your work

For the first selection round, you need to submit a questionnaire, your portfolio, two home assignments and a motivation letter digitally. Based on these, we will decide whether to invite you to the admission day.

What we look for in your application

During the admission process, we want to get to know you and your way of working. We are not only interested in the final result, but also in how you got there. How did your ideas take shape? What worked and what didn’t? Take us through your thought process.

We will look at:

  • Your creative ability: Can you translate ideas into images? Do you have a good sense of colour, form and material? Does your work show originality?
  • Your motivation and communication: What drives you? What inspires you? Can you express and explain this clearly?
  • Your thinking and research: Are you curious? Do you dare to experiment? Can you evaluate your own work critically?

Portfolio tips

  • Show three-dimensional work, such as furniture, clothing or other objects – not only drawings or paintings.
  •  Include personal work you have made on your own initiative, such as sketches, drawings or experiments not made for school.
  • Show the process as well as the results. How did your ideas take shape? What worked and what didn’t?
  • Practise observational drawing. In this programme, you will work a lot with hand-drawn sketches. Tip: draw a spatial observation in your sketchbook every day.
  • Select your best work and present it clearly and coherently.

You can get early feedback during our open days, where lecturers and students can review your portfolio and give you tips.
